Additional Information

We have secured additional space at the Heritage Center, so we have a few more tickets available for members, non-members, and students! The tickets will go fast, so register now if you would still like to attend in person.

Nurses Day offers an invaluable opportunity for nurses and student nurses to actively engage in shaping healthcare policy. By attending, nurses can gain firsthand insights into the legislative process and learn how proposed bills and regulations can impact their practice. Speakers and committee hearings provide a platform for experts to discuss pressing healthcare issues, allowing attendees to stay informed and contribute their expertise.

Networking with fellow nurses, legislators, and healthcare advocates fosters collaboration and strengthens the nursing profession's collective voice.

There will be:

Informative Presentations - From leaders in advocacy.

Legislative Floor Sessions - Sit with a legislator and observe the legislative process firsthand.

Capitol Tours - Explore the historic Capitol building and learn about its history.

Networking Opportunities - Connect with fellow nurses, nursing students, and legislators.

Advocacy Training - Learn how to advocate for nursing issues effectively.

Nurses Day at the Legislature is hosted by the North Dakota Nurses Association with support from the Health Resources and Services Administration Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention-Clinical Faculty and Preceptor Academies (NEPQR-CFPA) Program.

Montana Office of Rural Health/AHEC, the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence (CNE), and Schools of Nursing at the University of Colorado, Montana State University, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State University, Southern Utah University, and the Wyoming Center for Nursing have partnered to create a clinical nursing faculty & preceptor academy (CFPA) for the Rocky Mountain region. This program provides training and tools to strengthen and support our clinical nursing faculty and preceptors working in rural and frontier parts of the Mountain West.

This project is supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of an award totaling $969,200.00 with zero percentage financed with non-governmental sources. The contents are those of the author(s) and do not necessarily represent the official views of, nor an endorsement, by HRSA, HHS, or the U.S. Government.
