Drug Overdose Mortality Drops

Provisional CDC data suggest US drug overdose mortality dropped 5% to around 68,500 deaths last year, compared with 72,000 deaths in 2017. It's the first time the agency has seen overdose-related mortality decline since 1999, the CDC said.
