Study finds top hospitals use dedicated rapid response teams

Interviews with staff at nine hospitals in the Get With the Guidelines-Resuscitation program showed top-performing facilities for in-hospital cardiac arrest were likely to have rapid response teams with dedicated members who did not have competing clinical duties, researchers reported in JAMA Internal Medicine. Hospitals with the best outcomes also allowed nurses to activate rapid response teams without fear of reprisal.
