Excessive daytime napping may be early sign of Alzheimer's

Posted 12 days ago

Researchers at the University of California at San Francisco found significant tau accumulation in all wakefulness-promoting brain regions from the earliest stages of Alzheimer's disease, and up to 75% reductions in neurons were found in those regions. The findings in Alzheimer's & Dementia support previous research that has found excessive napping during daytime may be an early sign of Alzheimer's, researchers said.
