2020 Nutrition Symposium & Expo “Nourishing Health” - possible 11 contact hours for nurses!

The North Dakota Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics (NDAND) would like to invite you and your colleagues to the upcoming 2020 Nutrition Symposium & Expo “Nourishing Health”. Each spring, NDAND hosts a conference and expo for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists and other allied health professionals.
 
The Symposium will take place on March 11th and 12th, 2020 at the Holiday Inn in Fargo, North Dakota. The event will focus on a variety of topics that encompass current nutrition and healthcare trends. This year's Symposium will feature a "quick fire" day with session times limited to 30 minutes. This will give those busy practitioners concise information to easily decide if these trendy topics are something to integrate into their practice. The second day of “Nourishing Health” will dive deeper into nutrition and health with presentations such as:

• The Food Matrix: More Than the Sum of Nutrients
• My Patient Won’t Take Really Good Advice. Now What Do I Do?
• How to Improve the Long-Term Outcomes of Failure to Thrive in the Pediatric Patient
• Incorporating Breastfeeding into Clinical Practice: A Starter’s Guide
• Incorporating a Weight Neutral Approach to Nutrition
• Culinary Techniques for RDs: You Don’t Need to be a Top Chef to Build Kitchen Confidence
• What the Endocrinologist Wants You to Know

We have an exciting expo planned that includes several exhibits by our sponsors and other supporting organizations as well as a poster session! Practitioners, faculty, graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit abstracts for poster presentations. The poster session will take place on Thursday, March 12. In addition to the conference, plan on attending the NDAND social where we look forward to spending the evening in the industrial yet beautiful setting that is Thunder Coffee in West Fargo, North Dakota. This is an evening to celebrate and socialize together on RDN Day! Come dressed in your business casual black and white favorites for a fun night out. This evening is packed full of some of Fargo's most delicious food and beverage vendors - Thunder Coffee cocktails and mocktails, Suna Egyptian Eatery, Duchessa Gelato, Milk Maid Catering, and Baking Smiles.

• NDAND along with the North Dakota Nutrition Council (NDNC) are coordinating events to bring our annual conferences to you in consecutive days to make attending both events more convenient!
• Continuing education credits for RDNs, RNs, and Certified Dietary Managers have been applied for! 
• Note that we are offering a program booklet for purchase which will provide you copies of every presentation and other important documents!
• Meals and snacks are included in the Symposium registration fee.
• A block of rooms is reserved for attendees at the government rate. Please book ASAP!
