NDNA - 2021 Legislative Session

The 2021 legislative session has started off as a very busy one! NDNA will be sending periodic legislative updates during the 2021 session.

Overall, the below are priority bills we will follow:

SB 2198 - ND Center for Nursing Bill

NDNA is in support of HB 1044, HB 1328, SB 2198, and SB 2145. Our NDNA President Tessa Johnson provided in-person testimony on January 18 for SB 2145 (designated caregiver). NDNA has provided written letters of support for HB 1044 (APRN Nurse Licensure Compact), SB 2145 (designated caregiver), and SB 2198 (ND Center for Nursing Bill).  We will also send a letter to support HB 1328 (vitamin D). We will watch for COVID related issues, school nursing, behavioral health, and health equity bills.
