This announcement has 1 attachment:
North Dakota is excited to offer more Families Strong support groups for family members and friends of a loved one that struggles with the disease of addiction.
Families Strong support groups are:
- Free and hosted online
- 9-week programs that meet up to 2 hours weekly
- Evidence-based and follow weekly curriculums
The Families Strong model is designed to help participants develop self-care, build social supports, and learn effective motivational strategies for interacting with a loved one with a substance use disorder.
One participant from North Dakota shared their experience in the Families Strong group:
“Families Strong has given me an outlet to express my feelings without judgement and also gave me tools to help myself through the process of dealing with a loved one in addiction. An added bonus is I believe I have made forever friends that genuinely care about me.”
We invite you to share the attached flyer and this opportunity with friends, family, co-workers and community members who would benefit. Space is limited and groups will be starting on May 11th, so be sure to visit: www.recoveryreinvented.com/familiesstrong to learn more and sign up!
With gratitude,
Kathryn Burgum
