Bismarck Parkinson’s Support Group Hosts Parkinson’s Seminar

BISMARCK, ND, July 19, 2022 – The Bismarck Parkinson’s Support Group’s annual Parkinson’s Seminar will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2022, at the Baymont Inn & Suites in Mandan, ND. Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with the seminar beginning at 9:25 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.  

The seminar’s focus is to educate, inform and provide support for Parkinson’s patients, families, care providers, and healthcare professionals. This year’s speakers include a wide range of expertise and knowledge. The topics of the guest speakers are as follows:  

  • Fight Against Falls - Kris Cleary; MS/CCC-SLP; Anna Wolf, DDPT; Chelsie Boeshans, OTR/L 
  • Parkinson’s Disease and Sleep: An Overview – Rosemary Wichmann, PT & Director of Parkinson’s Programs at Struthers Parkinson’s Center 
  • Express Yourself: Coping with Parkinson’s Disease – Megan Dooley, OT 

Continuing Education Credits will be granted to Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychical Therapists, Audio/Speech/Language Pathologists, Psychologists, and Counselors.  

We are expecting approximately 20 exhibition booths that will be providing outreach and resources for those affected by Parkinson’s.  

The registration fee to attend the seminar is $15 per person. If requesting continuing education, the registration fee is $30 per person. Lunch is included with the registration fee.
