Important Updates from NDNA

Posted over 1 year ago by Sherri Miller in IMPORTANT NEWS

Greetings Members,
Hard to believe it's August 1st, 2022!

Here are just a few reminders for the next few months:

  • Elections are coming! We are in the third and final call for nominations for NDNA Board of Directors positions - read more. The last day to nominate yourself or someone you know is this Friday, August 5th. New board members will be installed at the NDNA Annual Meeting on Monday, September 19th in Bismarck.

  • On that note, please mark your calendars for the NDNA Annual Membership Business Meeting and Fall Conference on September 19-20, 2022. This in-person event, being held at the ND Heritage Center and State Museum in Bismarck, is a great opportunity to network with colleagues and friends who you may have been missing! The event is $100 for members. This includes the Annual Meeting, catered dinner from El Coqui, Bismarck's new authentic Puerto Rican restaurant, and the all-day Fall Conference with a great lineup of presenters including ANA President, Dr. Ernest Grant. The event is $140 for non-members. Contact hours are pending for both days. We will have some fun vendor displays, beautiful pastries served for breakfast, a colorful and healthy lunch, prizes, and time with our nurse friends again! Click here to read more and register.
  • I am excited to report that NDNA will also host the "Bridging Research with Practice" Conference Friday, October 21st in Fargo!  This is a unique opportunity for all health professionals and students to present, learn and interact about research and evidence-based practice from across North Dakota. Stay tuned as registration will open this week! Click here to read more.
  • Members, if you know someone interested in ANA/NDNA membership - direct them here or they can contact me. We know that professional membership gives many opportunities for professional development, networking, resources, conferences (and discounts with them), education, and having a stronger voice in nursing. The organization is so much stronger when nurses join together to share their voices based on their experiences and knowledge.

Any questions, reach out!  Now go enjoy your August. Summer is short!!
